Guess where we went...

Yes, you guessed it- CAFE RIO! There is now one in Denver, and I couldn't be more excited about it. (Just wish it was a little bit closer to our side of town, but I'll take what I can get!)Adam and Meredith still like Bajios better... whatever ;)

On a different note- we learned this week that those infamous cheeks of Luke's are actually quite deceiving because he's only in the 30th percentile for weight. They must be full of air!
Enjoy another too bright but too cute couch picture...

4 Months

Luke cheering on his Cougars (they didn't start losing until he fell asleep!) ;)
Always curious what Dad is up to at work...

And at home...

He is 4 months old now and as you can tell he is loving every minute of it- and so are we! He keeps us laughing all day long, especially with those cheeks of his!

Hero

Counting down the days until this sweet little girl gets to do this again with her dad...

And until this beautiful family gets to be in the same country again...
We love you Jeff, Ashlee, and Skylar so much. Thank you for your amazing sacrifice for our country... can't imagine how hard it must be to be separated for so long again but you are some of the strongest people I know. My heart hurts for you and our prayers are with you that this will be a very short and safe year!

Laughing

While we were getting Luke into PJ's the other night we were able to catch on video him really laughing for the first time. It was so perfect! And yes we do realize how RIDICULOUS we sound on the video- let's all remember he is our first child so everything that goes on around here is very exciting!

Nathan took this pic while Luke was chillin on his lap and thought it was hilarious
Ready for church
I didn't realize until I posted these that apparently it has been a navy blue stripes week!

3 Months

We had a quick photo shoot on the couch the other night- Luke got progressively happier as it went on....
(Look at those rolls!)

This is the face he makes right before he bursts into tears

Luke can roll over now from his tummy to his back- he discovered it is a great solution to his strong dislike of tummy time!

We are very happy around here- I'm not feeding Luke in the middle of the night anymore!!!! It is amazing and we just hope it lasts!

How do you slow down time?

Luke is becoming quite the chub these days! He is so much fun and very smiley. Time is flying by way too fast- can't believe he is almost 3 months! We wish more family and friends lived closer so they could meet him!
He has become a tummy sleeper which has made ALL THE DIFFERENCE! He now sleeps for more than 45 minutes at a time- finally! Unfortunately, since I know they tell you not to put babies on their tummies I have become super paranoid and don't sleep as well as I should because I'm checking on him! Hopefully that will change soon...

Luke's Blessing Day

-After the blessing at church-
We were very lucky to have both sets of grandparents here(plus JoJo!). It was a lot of fun to see them and we were very grateful they were all so willing to make the trip! Especially since my parents had to leave their beautiful AZ weather only to endure a snowy weekend and Nathan's parents had to go to a wedding before so they had a very short visit here. Thanks again everyone for coming and cramming into our little apartment! Luke sure does love his Mimi, Papa, Jojo, Grandma, and Grandpa!

The best pics of Luke are actually on my video camera and I don't know how to get them onto the computer yet, so here are a few we caught before my camera died...

(A special thanks to Emily and Tyler for letting us borrow Dean's blessing outfit. It was perfect!)

Getting big!

How cute is this boy in his Sunday best?!
We took a picture of him in his car seat the other day to show how big his cheeks are getting- they hang over the straps! Then we were looking back on his first pics in his car seat and couldn't believe how much bigger he his!
What a difference 8 weeks makes!
