Hair cut
Lake Powell
Almost my whole family went to Lake Powell over Labor Day Weekend, and needless to say it was amazing and an unforgettable trip!
First off, a huge thank you to Anne who came all the way to Denver to watch Luke while we went on this trip! We don't know what we would've done without her and Luke had such a blast! We never had to worry about him (even when he locked himself in his room on the first night we were gone and she ended up having to call our home teacher to get him out!)
I only took a few pics and I'm sure most of you have seen the good ones on everyone else's blogs. But here are a few:
The 'blob', there is a video of this floating around somewhere, we wandered up to this spot one afternoon. Hilarious.
Dad opening his iPad for his birthday
The view from where we slept on top of the houseboat (how could you not love this place?)
On our way home with Ashlee and Jeff we stopped at the 4 corners, it was not quite as exciting as we were hoping, to say the least :)

Free entertainment
I've realized that Luke entertains me all day long. Here is a little sampling of how...
"Dress like a cow" day at Chick-fil-a. Some of you may know I'd do just about anything to get some free food there! (Linds- would Brandon consider him to be a healthy calf? ;) )

Catching up
Once again I'm playing catch up, and once again all I have to show are iPhone pictures! We never use our other cameras anymore, unfortunately. We've had a great couple of months around here. The weather is finally nice and Luke is growing up way too fast as usual. He has become a climber and is in to even more now! We can't take our eyes off of him for 2 seconds. He is really talking a lot now with his 50+ word vocabulary, which is a lot of fun and he learns so fast. Here is just a sampling of the 400 photos we've taken in the last 2 months!
Rick and Anne came for a visit
Nathan went indoor skydiving for his birthday

Easter

He can wiggle his way out of anything- notice he is still strapped in.

My Gap asked if Luke and I would be in a little mall fashion show, and it turned out to be VERY little but still fun. Luke of course stole the show when he insisted on walking down the catwalk by himself. It was hilarious.

Luke and I went to AZ for one of my best friends wedding. As always a good time was had by all and we wore Luke out as you can see...
Lots of morning walks- apparently he is confused as to why it is so warm outside!

Then two days after getting home from AZ, I went to Utah for another wedding. I left Luke at home with Nathan and they had a great time, here is a pic of their hike they went on.

We love the huge park behind our apartment

Love Instagram

We went fishing one evening with friends- Nathan caught the only fish!

We went to this cute little park called Tiny Town that has lots of miniature buildings and a train. Luke was in heaven exploring, finally everything was his size.

Luke is in nursery now and has had to learn the hard way that there are definitely some bullies out there and you need to defend your territory, haha it's been interesting. Also, as many have pointed out lately he is beginning to really chunk up, which we love! At his 12 month appointment he was in the 5th percentile for weight and now he is in the 65th! We're looking forward to some fun trips in this next month and hopefully it won't take me three months to post about them!
