Birthday Boy

Remember this?? I'm pretty sure it was yesterday that Luke was just our TINY, wrinkly, fragile little nugget!

But somehow our little monkey boy turned 1 on November 23rd! (I may or may not have teared up a bit- where has the time gone??) We had a small party with our friends here a few days before his actual birthday.

He went from excitement and curiosity...
then to this (look how mischievous!)...
then ended like this- with no help from anyone!!!
Then the sugar high kicked in!

On his actual birthday we were in Arizona for Thanksgiving.

Look at his birthday sunset in my parent's backyard. Beautiful. Everyone should move to AZ. Seriously. (c'mon Nathan!)
Birthday dinner- this is what Luke usually does when he sees a camera. This might remind some of you of my own baby pics, never could see my eyes!
We had another cake for him after all of our family came to town and this is the birthday cake that I made. Not quite as cute as I hoped but Luke didn't mind!
And he didn't get quite as messy this time either, must have matured a little over those few days! ;)
Thanks to everyone who celebrated with us and who helped us spoil him rotten! We don't know what we'd do with out our Lukey boy in our lives. This has been the best year ever and he has truly made us happier than we could ever imagine. We feel so lucky that we get to watch him grow up- just stop doing it so fast buddy!

Halloween 2010

We stole Ellen's/Amber & Cody's/every 'last minute costumes' website idea of going as Chilean miners to our ward's Trunk or Treat!

Our awesome pumpkins last night...
Then this morning I walked in on this...

Unfortunately, Luke wasn't really feeling like taking pics but here is the CUTEST monkey ever! He actually didn't mind being in his costume which was nice.

Clinger Time

This post is dedicated to the Clinger family, especially Tiffani. I've spent a good amount of time with them in the last couple months- and I loved every minute! I was able to go to Boise for a week, which included a weekend trip over to Jerome for Grant's blessing. Always a great time at the Clinger home- who wouldn't love great company, endless treats, and a theater room!!
Then a few weeks later, Tiffani and Mark came to Denver for a Family Practice Conference. We had a lot a fun eating out (which we did A LOT of), hanging out at their hotel, watching the BYU game, shopping, and on Saturday we went to the Red Rocks Amphitheater and Golden, CO.

Look at Mark- all smiles with his cute wifey!

Then we got to see the Clingers again at homecoming less than a week later!

As I got ready to do this post I quickly realized I apparently didn't really take any pictures of my Clinger time! Very sad. One of the best parts about spending so much time with Tiff was how she loved to tell me, and others, what a great baby Luke is!! Hahaha, thanks! Loved every minute we were able to spend together and am counting down the days until we are reunited!
(Tiff- now picture a magic trick ending with a lady pointing at you! oh and let me know when you figure out what the name of that fungus was that Bear was freaking out about!)
Happy Birthday Tiffani!!!! Miss and love you!
p.s. I love all of my sisters (and brothers!) equally- let's just be honest Tiff, I'm still trying to redeem myself from the birthday call fiasco of 2008!!!

Summer Wrap Up

I'm finally getting around to put up the rest of some random pictures from Summer!

Back in June we went to the Cherry Creek arts festival and to a Rockies game.

In August, Rick and Anne and John and Jenilyn stayed over night on their way back from Chicago.

Random Luke pics I never posted, and we went to the BYU vs. Air Force game- very embarrassing game for the Cougs and it took forever to get home, quite the day!
