How do you slow down time?

Luke is becoming quite the chub these days! He is so much fun and very smiley. Time is flying by way too fast- can't believe he is almost 3 months! We wish more family and friends lived closer so they could meet him!
He has become a tummy sleeper which has made ALL THE DIFFERENCE! He now sleeps for more than 45 minutes at a time- finally! Unfortunately, since I know they tell you not to put babies on their tummies I have become super paranoid and don't sleep as well as I should because I'm checking on him! Hopefully that will change soon...

Luke's Blessing Day

-After the blessing at church-
We were very lucky to have both sets of grandparents here(plus JoJo!). It was a lot of fun to see them and we were very grateful they were all so willing to make the trip! Especially since my parents had to leave their beautiful AZ weather only to endure a snowy weekend and Nathan's parents had to go to a wedding before so they had a very short visit here. Thanks again everyone for coming and cramming into our little apartment! Luke sure does love his Mimi, Papa, Jojo, Grandma, and Grandpa!

The best pics of Luke are actually on my video camera and I don't know how to get them onto the computer yet, so here are a few we caught before my camera died...

(A special thanks to Emily and Tyler for letting us borrow Dean's blessing outfit. It was perfect!)

Getting big!

How cute is this boy in his Sunday best?!
We took a picture of him in his car seat the other day to show how big his cheeks are getting- they hang over the straps! Then we were looking back on his first pics in his car seat and couldn't believe how much bigger he his!
What a difference 8 weeks makes!

Update

Well, Luke is now almost 7 weeks old! We really can't believe how fast these weeks have flown by. As of a week ago he weighs 8 lbs 11 oz. He sure is keeping us busy and tired but he's a keeper! Here are way more pictures than the majority of you would ever care to see but SOME people have been requesting a lot so here you go!

These first pics are ones that my sister, Tiffani, took while she was here with her nice camera. Luke was exactly one week old.

We were able to go to Beaver for Christmas since he was 3 weeks early. It took forever to get there with horrible weather and stops to feed him, but it was well worth it. As expected, Luke was a big hit and got spoiled rotten by being held ALL the time.

This was Luke Christmas Eve...

And Christmas morning... maybe next year he'll be ready to take in all the excitement.

On our way back from Utah my car's transmission basically stopped working and we got stuck in Grand Junction, CO. Luckily we were very blessed to find some distant cousins to stay with who were the kindest people we have ever met. They ended up driving us all the way back to Denver, while my car stayed there for the rest of the week to get fixed. Then Ashlee and Jeff picked it up for us on their way back to Kansas (we can't thank you guys enough!). Needless to say it was a VERY price trip back home but we are very grateful for those who helped us out.

We spent New Years Eve with some of our great friends we have made here in Denver.

THE END!

We have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving...

The very proud Daddy

All ready to come home! (His clothes are quite big on him right now! We couldn't believe how huge these newborn pants were on him!)

For those who don't know- I was induced late Sunday night, so Luke was 3 weeks early! The delivery went well and much quicker than we expected. We couldn't be more smitten with Baby Luke and are feeling very blessed and grateful for our healthy, beautiful little boy on this Thanksgiving night!

Fall Happenings

Well these last few days we have been wondering where fall disappeared to here in Denver. We have almost 2 feet of snow in front of our house and it's still snowing right now! This is already our 4th and biggest storm of October so we are bracing ourselves for what winter might have in store for us! Nathan had a snow day yesterday and a late start today though!

We were able to go to Utah for BYU's Homecoming this past weekend- it was so fun to see so much family and spend some time in Provo. Even though the game was a huge disappointment, we still had a blast and were so sad to leave. Unfortunately this is the ONLY picture I took! Carter is such a cutie, we couldn't get enough of him and it made us very excited to meet our own little boy!
We went to a pumpkin festival a couple of weekends ago with some friends. We were so excited to pick out our perfect pumpkins- only to be disappointed a week later when we got home from Utah. Nathan went to go pick up the big one and out dumped all of its insides all over our carpet. Needless to say I think next year we'll save some money and just buy them from the store!
32 Weeks!
