Update

Well, Luke is now almost 7 weeks old! We really can't believe how fast these weeks have flown by. As of a week ago he weighs 8 lbs 11 oz. He sure is keeping us busy and tired but he's a keeper! Here are way more pictures than the majority of you would ever care to see but SOME people have been requesting a lot so here you go!

These first pics are ones that my sister, Tiffani, took while she was here with her nice camera. Luke was exactly one week old.

We were able to go to Beaver for Christmas since he was 3 weeks early. It took forever to get there with horrible weather and stops to feed him, but it was well worth it. As expected, Luke was a big hit and got spoiled rotten by being held ALL the time.

This was Luke Christmas Eve...

And Christmas morning... maybe next year he'll be ready to take in all the excitement.

On our way back from Utah my car's transmission basically stopped working and we got stuck in Grand Junction, CO. Luckily we were very blessed to find some distant cousins to stay with who were the kindest people we have ever met. They ended up driving us all the way back to Denver, while my car stayed there for the rest of the week to get fixed. Then Ashlee and Jeff picked it up for us on their way back to Kansas (we can't thank you guys enough!). Needless to say it was a VERY price trip back home but we are very grateful for those who helped us out.

We spent New Years Eve with some of our great friends we have made here in Denver.

THE END!

We have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving...

Introducing:
Luke Nathan Petersen
Born November 23, 2009

6 lbs 2 oz, 18.5 in

The very proud Daddy

All ready to come home! (His clothes are quite big on him right now! We couldn't believe how huge these newborn pants were on him!)

For those who don't know- I was induced late Sunday night, so Luke was 3 weeks early! The delivery went well and much quicker than we expected. We couldn't be more smitten with Baby Luke and are feeling very blessed and grateful for our healthy, beautiful little boy on this Thanksgiving night!

Fall Happenings

Well these last few days we have been wondering where fall disappeared to here in Denver. We have almost 2 feet of snow in front of our house and it's still snowing right now! This is already our 4th and biggest storm of October so we are bracing ourselves for what winter might have in store for us! Nathan had a snow day yesterday and a late start today though!

We were able to go to Utah for BYU's Homecoming this past weekend- it was so fun to see so much family and spend some time in Provo. Even though the game was a huge disappointment, we still had a blast and were so sad to leave. Unfortunately this is the ONLY picture I took! Carter is such a cutie, we couldn't get enough of him and it made us very excited to meet our own little boy!
We went to a pumpkin festival a couple of weekends ago with some friends. We were so excited to pick out our perfect pumpkins- only to be disappointed a week later when we got home from Utah. Nathan went to go pick up the big one and out dumped all of its insides all over our carpet. Needless to say I think next year we'll save some money and just buy them from the store!
32 Weeks!

New Year

So since it's a new year I've decided to attempt to keep up on blogging. C'mon it's only been almost 4 months since my last post... Needless to say A LOT has happened since October. Enjoy this record long post!

This feels like forever ago now- but back inOctober Amber and Cody were sealed to their precious Sydney. We love this little girl so much and we were very grateful to be there on that special day.
(And now she's 1! WOW! Happy Birthday Sydney!)

Way back in November we were able to go see our new niece, Mabel, at the hospital. She is too cute we just can't get enough of her!

We went to Arizona for Thanksgiving. It was so nice and warm and I didn't want to leave. But, apparently I didn't take any pictures while we were there!

Our first Christmas tree!

We were so lucky to get to go to Boise for Dallin's baptism and be the first guests at the new and fabulous Clinger house. Even though it was a short trip, it was well worth it!
(Brady just loves his Dallin)

After getting back from Boise we finished up the semester and now I am a college graduate! It is very surreal to say the least but I am so excited! I just feel bad now when Nathan has to go to class every day and do homework, but I have certainly been enjoying all the free time!

We had an AMAZING Christmas in Pocatello this year with the whole Petersen family (my very 1st one not in Beaver). It was a lot fun to be there for about a week and spend time with family. Thanks to everyone for all the great presents, fun, and memories!

Our gingerbread house
It just snowed and snowed and snowed while we were there! I don't think I have ever seen it snow so much! Nathan had fun building a tunnel in the backyard with his brothers.

Luckily the weather quit for a day so we could go to Boise over New Years. It was a blast with a lot of the family there (we missed you Melissa, Jason, and Amber)! We played games, ate too much delicious food, watched movies, went shopping, and bowling.

Brady was so funny to watch bowl! He would run down then just drop the ball so hard- I love this kid!

Here is Skylar with her Mimi- I still don't know how Mom is surviving without her!

Very scary picture- but here is my new short hair! I am still in shock- 15 inches!

We were able to go to Tony and Jenna's wedding in Salt Lake yesterday.

Well that's that! Hopefully it won't be another 4 months before I post again!
O and p.s. Nathan and I are still on the job search- if you know of any good ones out there let us know! :)
